I can hardly believe I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years! It feels like my timeline in my life is B.Y.(before yoga) and A.Y. (after yoga). LOL!! It has forever changed my life! This beautiful gift of yoga has helped me thru 3 pregnancies and births of 3 amazing boys, helped me work thru injuries and recover from surgeries. I have had many tears release onto my mat as I move and breathe thru the difficult times life can throw your way. Time on my mat has also given me such joy and self acceptance.
My passion for sharing yoga in our community makes me smile from the inside out! It makes me SHINE!! As much as I love teaching yogis to do things they could never imagine, I also love teaching and helping beginners as they start their journey. I have had students with me for over 12 years and it has been incredible to witness their practice become their very own.
I invite you to step into your own light and SHINE with us!!

She was one of the first instructors to join the Shine Tribe in 2015 and has brought us a lot of peace, love and light!

She teaches Chair Yoga and Beginner’s Yoga Workshops to include ones for Seniors – age 55+.
She teaches primarily Gentle Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on stress reduction/management and breathing and learning to let go and Restorative Yoga – Rest, Relaxation and Restoring the body and mind. Her yoga practiced started about 10 years ago, and she then became a regular yoga student and soon realized how much yoga helped to change/transform her life. After her first class she found it was NOT as easy as she had imagined, but the true surprise was the sense of peace and joy she found. She was soon empowered by the positive changes, physical health benefits and balance yoga provided in her life and decided she should share the wonderful world of yoga with as many people as possible!

Retired classroom teacher finds second calling. That's me! Yoga has been in my life for a long time but I never considered teaching until I took a restorative yoga course. I recognized a need in our community for this type of yoga and, when an opportunity to provide it through Shine arrived, Suzanne Chevalier suggested that we start a class. Seeing how our students have benefited from this practice encourages us to continue to offer it as well as to incorporate it into our gentle classes.

Gentle Yoga is for everybody! Each instructor brings their own unique style that will help you take your time in poses, build stability and find your breath.
Vinyasa Yoga is flowing and connecting your breath with the movements and transitions. Vinyasa will get you warmed up from the inside out! All levels are welcome and modifications are given to help you flow thru the sequences.
Restorative Yoga helps you focus on relaxing your body, using bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps to help get you comfy while you soak into the poses. These classes are a great way to unwind you body, mind and spirit.
